ACTING whether it be for the stage or screen IS NOT EASY, some people want to be actors to be famous or make lots of dough! True actors.......GOOD actors, do it bcuz they love the art.
I dont know how to get on Disney channel, but you should know that if you are truly serious about acting, you will stay with Disney forever once your in. and if possible at all it WILL be extremely hard to break away from that image, without getting trashed by every magazine and newspaper, look at Miley Cyrus, she got trashed for showing a picture of her bair BACK. Trust me, Disney is a good place to start, but once your in, you cant get out. Eventually you'll get too old and the show will get cancelled, at which point your carrer is practically over.
Do you have an agent? Have you had headshots taken? Do you have any experience working on tv? Have you had any acting lessons? There is a lot that goes into working on a show. Your first step would be to get an agent. Go through S.A.G. or Aftra ONLY to start with. They will guide you from there.

I'm the SPL of my troop. We had a rough year before I was elected, with an equally bad SPL. Now, things are starting to look better, and the troop is gaining some of it's stability (We've been in service since 1965, so failure is not an option) and things are going good. Sounds like everyone's happy, right? Well, yes, everyone except for me. I have litterally had to work until I dropped to make sure I don't blow it. I generally spend at least 5 hours a week just doing things that doesn't even have to do with the meeting. Now, heres the real problem: We might have elections coming up soon. In this case, I would be replaced by someone who isn't going to do NEARLY as good as I have. I know this one person is going to win because he knows all the younger kids, who make up most oft the troop (therefore he'd get the most votes) So, should I continue to have elections and be replaced and watch the troop fall, yet be happy, or face my pain and continue for another SIX months?Any boy scouts out there that can help me with some advise from how it works in YOUR troop?

Express your concerns with your troop leader that you are concerned that all the hard work you have put in may go to waste and maybe he will take an interest in making sure the new SPL is up to the task.
Oh, and the extra work is the SPL's job. Thats what you are signing up for when you try to obtain the post. However, I believe that you are probably exaggerating a little about the work until I dropped part. You don't mention what your rank is currently but you need to experience all of the leadership positions as well. He is a Life Scout that has been under bad SPL's before in another troop which he learned what not to do from. He is working to set a good example for the younger scouts in the troop which in turn will pay off with good leaders in the future.
Another point, get to know every scout in your troop. That is probably the most important thing you can do as SPL. You are a role model for them as well as the Cub Scouts below you so make a point to talk to them, help them, and who knows, you may find you have a knack for helping others.

I am inspired by intense emotions %26amp; by the beauty of the world. I agree with your statement to some extent. Creativity can't be forced. You have to have the feeling %26amp; the inspiration so that it flows out of you almost effortlessly. When I'm overcome by a feeling, the songs seem to write themselves. Other times when I just decide I'd like to write a song, nothing comes to me. It's like if you're trying to catch a butterfly...it will elude you. But if you just go about your business %26amp; ignore it, it may come %26amp; sit on your shoulder...Is that what you meant? If you search for happiness, you may not find it, but if you just make the best of your life %26amp; do things you enjoy, happiness will find you. Don't try so hard.

Like previously stated it's most probably the production paint/film burning off which isn't any thing to worry about but please have it checked as the burning may come from somewhere else
As for the head gasket, if you are diagnosed with a blown head gasket then don't waste your time with a replacement head (æ‹¢500 fitted) as with the Rover K series engine it will more than likely blow again, just replace the entire engine for a reconditioned unit (æ‹¢700 all in including collection)

As other people have mentioned, there is the studednt visa option. Otherwise, if you are like me and do not fit into any specialised catergory:
Green Card Lottery - Registration is in October, but even if you get lucky, entrance is not until 2008.
Sponsorship Visa (H1b) - You'll need an American company to sponsor you, but these visas are limited, and there are no more available until April next year, for entrance in October 07.
Trainee Visas (L) - Quite exclusive conditions, and you'll be doing well to find a company to agree to it.
I have had some helpful advice from immigration consultants, try www.inkorpa.com, or any others you can find.

I've been asking myself the same question of late, and done plenty of research. My girlfriend is in Boston, which is why I want to work here, but I'm not keen to get married just for a visa. I'm from New Zealand and so am probably in a similar visa situation to you. I'm a visitor at the moment, still looking into trying to work legally.
As other people have mentioned, there is the studednt visa option. Otherwise, if you are like me and do not fit into any specialised catergory:
Green Card Lottery - Registration is in October, but even if you get lucky, entrance is not until 2008.
Sponsorship Visa (H1b) - You'll need an American company to sponsor you, but these visas are limited, and there are no more available until April next year, for entrance in October 07.
Trainee Visas (L) - Quite exclusive conditions, and you'll be doing well to find a company to agree to it.
I have had some helpful advice from immigration consultants, try www.inkorpa.com, or any others you can find.

I would say that the more thought you put into packing the stuff, the less trouble you will have unpacking. For example, don't just pitch stuff into boxes. put it in logical groups. Kitchen utencil's in a box all together. bath towel's and wash clothes all in one box etc. then label the boxes with big letters as to which room they go in. rent a truck, gather some friends and move. when the boxes come into the house, take them directly to the room the stuff belongs in. there will always be a couple weeks to really get everything settled, but you can get the basics done in a couple days easy.Anyone have any new house advise?

One of the first things I would do would be ride through your neighborhood, find homes that closely match yours in size, # of bedrooms, # of bath rooms and other amenities that have real estate signs out. Call and ask the sale price of each.
If you have a friend in the real estate profession that can help, you might see if they can get some comparables for you so you can give a good sale price for your home.
I would also call and see if there is a local mortgage broker that will assist in the selling of the property. Tell them that in exchange for a possible list of people looking at your home what would they be willing to do to help you. If all they want is the list move on to another.
#1 They can assist with open houses
#2 They can assist in getting comparables
#3 They have access to other professionals that are needed to close a real estate transaction, such as escrow, title companies, appraisers and others as deemed necessary.
#4 If they will assist with telephone calls and weed out those that are not pre-approved. Since they will pre-approve those that are not.
Once you have settled on a price, you may now
#1 Place a sign on your property For Sale By Owner (FSBO)
#2 Advertise in your local paper also indicate (no agents please)
There are pros and cons as to advertise your address. You have to decide, but I would, it would eliminate the calls just to get the address.
#3 Make flyers and pass them out as well as place some in a prominent place outside your house for when you are not home.

Should I sell now or next year?
Not sure if this would help. Usually, a housing market correction last for years. It is unlikely things will brighten up in a few months, afterall, this bubble took 5 years for form.
It might be better to give some discount so you unload the house quickly and can use the gain of the home to make money elsewhere quickly. At the same time, you will save money by not paying mortgage for the next 5 months.
For example, if mortgage is $2500/mo. and you have $300,000 gain sitting in the house, by selling it now rather than 5 months later will save you $12500. It will also earn you as much as $7000 from interests (Assuming CD are paying 5.5% or higher).
Total financial benefit for selling early would be $20,000. I would give buyer some discount just because of that.
Finally, keeping a house in selling condition is a lot of work. If your realtor does staging, it costs extra to rent furnitures. If you are living in the unit, it takes extra effort to keep it clean. So, sell it fast!
You run risk of being robbed. It happens to licensed real estate agents- and we have training and take precautions against it. The trend is away from open houses because it is ineffective and the risk increses that a home will be pilfered or robbed while the agent is distracted by another person.
You run the risk of a non-qualified person contracting to buy your home, tying it up for weeks and loosing another opportunity to sell to a well qualified buyer. If you need to sell, you loose valuable time because of that. You may also give up more than you have to in order to get the deal. Real estate agents pre-qualify their buyers; the best ones get them pre-approved, at least I do.
You run the risk of not getting the message out that your home is for sale, the ammenities of your home, and what makes it a better deal than the other homes competing for the same buyer. It is more than the newspaper ad, a web site (God knows how many of those there are), a sign in the yard and praying that is will sell, for if that were all it took the real estate industry as it is today would not exist. Real estate agents have access to the best tools: the MLS and the real estate network; 80%+ of all real estate sales involve a licensed real estate agent..
You run the risk of failing to obey state, federal or local laws regarding fair housing, disclosure or other ordinances unknown to you. Then you will have to answer to a judge because of your lack of knowledge and your actions taken. What have you saved now?
Save yourself time, money, potential loss of a sale and/or law suit, as about 80% of all FSBO seller end up in the hands of a competitent real estate broker anyway. Go ahead and call a successful broker, bite the bullett, they'll get it done- right. If you had a tooth ache, and it did not go away after you doctored it a few days, you'd go to a professional to get it cared for, correct? This is no different. Plus real estate brokers get more for your home than the typical FSBO sold property in less time on average.
Everything has a cost, there are no free lunches. Be certain you can afford the cost of the direction you choose. Worst things can happen if you forgo a professional, including not selling your home. Ral estate sales are slowing youneed to stack the oddsin your favor. Think about it.
My specific advice is: Don't.
I'm a buyer's specialist. There are several excellent reasons I don't take my client to FSBOs unless they are priced so far below market it isn't funny. 1) Disclosure issues. FSBOs are rotten about them. When you disappear, the client sues me. Not going to happen. 2) My client is out of pocket my fee, whereas in normal practice you'd end up paying it out of the listing commission. So I'd better be prepared to justify the transaction in court as being less expensive to my client. Not likely, because 3) FSBOs are almost always drastically overpriced, and usually in denial. If my client wants it, first I have to persuade them where the market is, then I have to persuade them to offer a realistic bargain to my client, and the vast majority of FSBOs won't pull their heads out of where they are stuck. 4) I have to do the work of both agents for one commission, and often the seller will try to claim that I violated fiduciary duty as their agent. I'm not their agent, as I always make clear, I'm representing the buyer only. I owe them the best possible bargain (That's rarely a FSBO), and my best efforts. I could go on and one, but you should get the idea. FSBO is a bad trip for everybody.
Discount listers, on the other hand, I love to sit across the table from. Good buyer's agents eat discounters alive.
Don't do it!
You'll end up spending more time and money in the long run, and could end up with some legal problems if you don't understand your state laws. The new buyer might expect things you didn't plan on parting with, but because it's not stated in the contract right you could end up with a law suit.
Also the market for homes is really cooling and so it will be harder to sell your home yourself. if you have a realitor they will have more resources then a average person to market the house, and process the sale expidently.

Put down a date of approximately 25-35 days from the date of your contract. This is the date you hope this transaction will be over. Do not get alarmed it the transaction does not close on that day this is a target date, so don't get your bloomers in a bunch if it doesn't.
Once all parties to the transaction has signed the contract, look in the telephone book and find a title company to handle the closing for you. See if you can find the title company you used to purchase your home or the last time you refinanced it. In some states you will need an attorney as the closing agent. See which is used in your state.
The closing agent will issue escrow or closing instructions based on your contract and what you and the buyer has agreed to. Some things could change as you go along in the transaction, your closer will keep you aware of any and all changes.
When the buyer has secuured a loan their lender will tell the closing officer when funds will be available to close the transaction. After all documentation has been signed and the loan funds you will be given a check after which you will be required to surrender your set of keys to the new buyer.

For sale by owner transactions cost the sellers money. The property will take longer to sell so the seller has more ';carrying costs';. Should I sell now or next year?
Not sure if this would help. Usually, a housing market correction last for years. It is unlikely things will brighten up in a few months, afterall, this bubble took 5 years for form.
It might be better to give some discount so you unload the house quickly and can use the gain of the home to make money elsewhere quickly. At the same time, you will save money by not paying mortgage for the next 5 months.
For example, if mortgage is $2500/mo. and you have $300,000 gain sitting in the house, by selling it now rather than 5 months later will save you $12500. It will also earn you as much as $7000 from interests (Assuming CD are paying 5.5% or higher).
Total financial benefit for selling early would be $20,000. I would give buyer some discount just because of that.
Finally, keeping a house in selling condition is a lot of work. If your realtor does staging, it costs extra to rent furnitures. If you are living in the unit, it takes extra effort to keep it clean. So, sell it fast!
You run risk of being robbed. It happens to licensed real estate agents- and we have training and take precautions against it. The trend is away from open houses because it is ineffective and the risk increses that a home will be pilfered or robbed while the agent is distracted by another person.
You run the risk of a non-qualified person contracting to buy your home, tying it up for weeks and loosing another opportunity to sell to a well qualified buyer. If you need to sell, you loose valuable time because of that. You may also give up more than you have to in order to get the deal. Real estate agents pre-qualify their buyers; the best ones get them pre-approved, at least I do.
You run the risk of not getting the message out that your home is for sale, the ammenities of your home, and what makes it a better deal than the other homes competing for the same buyer. It is more than the newspaper ad, a web site (God knows how many of those there are), a sign in the yard and praying that is will sell, for if that were all it took the real estate industry as it is today would not exist. Real estate agents have access to the best tools: the MLS and the real estate network; 80%+ of all real estate sales involve a licensed real estate agent..
You run the risk of failing to obey state, federal or local laws regarding fair housing, disclosure or other ordinances unknown to you. Then you will have to answer to a judge because of your lack of knowledge and your actions taken. What have you saved now?
Save yourself time, money, potential loss of a sale and/or law suit, as about 80% of all FSBO seller end up in the hands of a competitent real estate broker anyway. Go ahead and call a successful broker, bite the bullett, they'll get it done- right. If you had a tooth ache, and it did not go away after you doctored it a few days, you'd go to a professional to get it cared for, correct? This is no different. Plus real estate brokers get more for your home than the typical FSBO sold property in less time on average.
Everything has a cost, there are no free lunches. Be certain you can afford the cost of the direction you choose. Worst things can happen if you forgo a professional, including not selling your home. Ral estate sales are slowing youneed to stack the oddsin your favor. Think about it.
My specific advice is: Don't.
I'm a buyer's specialist. There are several excellent reasons I don't take my client to FSBOs unless they are priced so far below market it isn't funny. 1) Disclosure issues. FSBOs are rotten about them. When you disappear, the client sues me. Not going to happen. 2) My client is out of pocket my fee, whereas in normal practice you'd end up paying it out of the listing commission. So I'd better be prepared to justify the transaction in court as being less expensive to my client. Not likely, because 3) FSBOs are almost always drastically overpriced, and usually in denial. If my client wants it, first I have to persuade them where the market is, then I have to persuade them to offer a realistic bargain to my client, and the vast majority of FSBOs won't pull their heads out of where they are stuck. 4) I have to do the work of both agents for one commission, and often the seller will try to claim that I violated fiduciary duty as their agent. I'm not their agent, as I always make clear, I'm representing the buyer only. I owe them the best possible bargain (That's rarely a FSBO), and my best efforts. I could go on and one, but you should get the idea. FSBO is a bad trip for everybody.
Discount listers, on the other hand, I love to sit across the table from. Good buyer's agents eat discounters alive.
Don't do it!
You'll end up spending more time and money in the long run, and could end up with some legal problems if you don't understand your state laws. The new buyer might expect things you didn't plan on parting with, but because it's not stated in the contract right you could end up with a law suit.
Also the market for homes is really cooling and so it will be harder to sell your home yourself. if you have a realitor they will have more resources then a average person to market the house, and process the sale expidently.
:) You have enough to deal with when you move, why not let someone else handle all the marketing, selling, and legalities of it.

This car stereo was a breeze to install. There are several problems, however. The mounting sleeve has a lot of play where it attaches to the plastic adapter for the car. Hence, the radio jiggles whenever the car hits a bump. Also, FM and AM reception is not as good as the original factory radio.
That being said, the bluetooth works well, conversations are audible. Sound quality from the ipod, from the bluetooth, and the CD are excellent. HD radio even in the NY metro area is totally useless and the difference between HD radio and regular radio is barely audible. Also, the HD radio signal is much weaker and drops back and forth between HD radio and regular radio every few seconds.

Another suggestions is to pick up a ';Traveler - Discount Guide/Hotel Coupons'; from a Denny's restaurant (they are often next to a La Quinta hotel) and use the coupons for inexpensive hotel stays. Only catch is you have to wait till after 6:00 p.m. to ask if the hotel has a room available for that coupon rate. There is a slim possibility you have to ask more than one hotel; I have used these coupons for years, and only once was told that the rooms at the coupon rate were sold out. You could also visit their website at www.roomsaver.com. This pamphlet also shows food/gas/hotel exit by exit... It covers a couple of states (i.e. Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas), so as you travel along, you need to pick up new ones.

Honestly, I think everyone gets this at some point. Getting married is a REALLY big deal; you can't just shrug it off. You're living in the real world, and you're nervous; that's to be expected.
The butterflies will get bigger and they'll come more often, but as long as you realise how happy you are, then you'll be fine. I've had a couple of these moments; the first when we met with the registrar for the legal bits, the second when I found my wedding dress, and the third was today, when my fiance and I spent a very rare day off together, which incidentally coincided with it being six months to the day of our wedding.

Of course the person who made the recommendation was a very attractive young woman talking with a teenage boy who was obviously nervous being alone with her... not sure she was helping him much.
I liked the suggestion of studying drama.

(or one huge embarrassing thing once) don't let this ruin your life. make it a point to do the opposite thing when your feeling shy. be social. go to lunch with people one on one and so on. make friends. get a boyfriend. give speeches.

Practice as much as possible! Say good morning to someone on the elevator, and your co-workers. Ask questions like how was your weekend? or what are your plans for the holidays? etc. Read as much as possible about current events. The more you practice the easier it will get. Also always try to think before speaking think of responses to usual questions and pause before answering so you can digest what the person is saying instead of just blurting out the first thing that pops into your brain.

You could try and help rid her of some of her excess energy through playing with her. I'd go to the pet store and purchase one of the laser lights they have. Cats enjoy chasing the light and since you're in control of it, it can't be destroyed.
Having a spray bottle filled with water will also help rid her of her desire to beg for food or get too crazy with a toy. You don't want to soak her with it, just surprise her. Eventually all you'll have to do is shake the water bottle and she'll probably stop whatever she was doing or getting ready to do. I hope that helps. Good luck!

im not a smoker so i cant help much, but i have two friends who are trying to quit at the moment...one of them told me that she associates smoking with feeling sick or ill...and she tries to think of things like that everytime she wants a cigarrette...apparently if you assosciate it well enough any time you think of smoking you will think of being sick and it will put you off permanently.
i gota say when i decided to be vegetarian i used assosciations to stop me eating meat and ive been a loyal veggie for about 4 years now...worth a try i guess

I'm looking for any advise regarding a band. Be it recording, promotion, songwriting anything. If your in a band or the music biz could you give a young hungery band your knowledge?Can any1 give some advise to a newly founded band?
The most important thing you can do is increase your exposure. But before you can do that, make sure that you are familiar with enough songs, or have enough songs written that you can give a show. Start with the area you are most familiar with when you perform concerts, because it is the easiest to gain popularity in. If your local shows get a good following, start making things like bumper stickers, t-shirts, etc to increase your exposure. Myspace does wonders for increasing the exposure to your music, and when you have refined what songs work and do not work well live, you can sit down and hammer out a demo album. If it is good enough, who knows, perhaps you'll get a chance to record it in a real studio.

I came across Infatuation and wrote a good song about stupid love.. Try and write lyrics everyday. It doesnt always have to be good. You will write 100 and out of those will come out 2 or 3 which are brilliant..
After writing the song, put in chords.. Then present it to your band. The band will then have a job to put in drums etc..

Thats why going to college for these types of things really can pay off, even if not for yourself, people will pay big money for somebody with experience.

Whatever makes people listen, whether they decide to like you is your choice but they'll never know if you don't ever reach their ears.

Tranistioning to table food advise?
Need advise on transitioning my 9 month old to table food. She is on pureed baby food now. She likes chewing the gerber yogurt bites, but when I give her other ';mashed'; foods such as mashed spaghetti, mashed veggies, she spits it back out. I have been given morphine by one doctor, i rang for advise from another , he said take what you like.?
Doc said i can monitor my own pain management but im worried incase i overdose on the morphine patches (25 mcg) and oramorph . Doc was very unhelpful. Ive had morphine patches on for 2 days and taking 10 ml oramorph every 4 hours but im sleeping but still got some neck/shoulder pain.I have been given morphine by one doctor, i rang for advise from another , he said take what you like.?
I'm not a doctor, first off. You're not taking that much morphine. Call your doctor or go back in and talk to him. You can also talk to your pharmacist, where you got the prescriptions.
You don't say how long you'll be on this, but if it's for short term usage, you may or may not have to taper off of it when you stop using it.
Morphine isn't dangerous when used as directed for pain. I'm betting your doctor knows exactly what they're doing. If you're unsure, get a second opinion. The morphine might be making you sleepy.

Ask for milder pain medication, it is not uncommon in pain management to use pain patches and oral medications for breakthrough pain, but if you feel it is to much or unmanageable for you, don't take the oral medication or ask for a different, milder treatment plan

Plus, remember that your doctor must report all morphine prescriptions to the D.E.A. in case you decide to sell them.

i have a good friend that is a sr in high school. he has so much going on in his life right now and is sooo stressed. what would be a good way to let him know i'm thinking of him, and not get to stressed. something like a saying, or words of advice, that would put a smile on his face and to show i care.What could be good advise for an over stressed person?

Try to enjoy a good movie / famliy get together / go to a temple/church so he gets a positive energy. Try to convince him to think positively abt life. Ups and downs r there in everybody's life. But the one who gets through it is a winner in the long run. Just think abt it. Im sure my advice will work. Please avoid ur friend to drink/smoke in this situation

Hey I'm american wife from Phil about 2 1/2 years and I've been to Phil about 9 times in 3 yrs. Criminal record, need visa to go on holiday to florida. Please advise...?
If a person has a criminal record, what are the chances of getting a visa from the uk for a us holiday? This person was in prison for 8 monhs after a car accident. Thank you
I have been told that the person probably won't get a visa from the US simply becaus they have a criminal record. Is this the case or does it depend on the actual reason for the prison sentence? I'm so worried!

The Us operate a Visa waiver system for British citizens meaning that you dont need a Visa.Even though your Passport would be checked as to its authenticity it is unlikely that your past records on a personal level would be shown.It is not advisable for you to rent a hire care however.Enjoy and dont worry.

Stencil-pro solution for applying stencils. Spirit brand thermal processor sheets. Surgical steel needles, in all groupings. And, a good working relationship with my fellow tattoo artists. I am no fitness trainer but my friends always come to me and ask me how to lose weight and how to tone up, etc. Well, I believe the fastest way for me to lose weight would be to run and walk on the tredmill.
Run for 3 minute and then walk for 1minute, run again for 3 minutes, then walk for 1 minute. Repeat this for about 20-30 minutes or longer if you'd like.. and let me know if you see results..
And you should slightly alter the minutes you run/walk so your muscles won't get used to the training.
Also - on a tired day, you might want to walk on the tredmill with a pair of light (2-5 lbs) and do arm excercises to tone up your arm muscles.. I did this for 2 weeks and my arms became smaller and TONED!

Take it easy. It's not good for your body to lose so much weight so quickly, especially if you are nursing.
Exercise, take your baby on walks with you. Make sure you are eating HEALTHY - cut down (or better) cut out all your dairy - this can be a huge source of fat. But make sure you are replacing the protein and vitamins in milk with other vegetables, meats, or legumes. You wont lose 40lbs in less than two months. But you could lose some, and be healthier for it.
oh if you are breastfeeding you will loose weight but you shouldn't loose it fast because from burning the fat the toxins will get in the breastmilk, sorry i don't have more details.
i actually gained 45 pounds, i lost it all plus 8 pounds of my actual weight, it tookd 6 months. i couldn't help it. i eat, sometimes i don't because the baby keeps me busy and i couldn't make food. i took boost drinks but that didn't help!

Way too much weight to lose that fast. You need to take it slow. Especially if you are breastfeeding. Just change your diet and start exercising everyday. Talk to your doctor...maybe he could recommend a safe diet for you to go on. But 40 pounds is just too much. Even 20 would be pushing it. It's just not safe. And you will most likely have to go on an extremely harsh diet that is not healthy.

Um, I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you only have about 5 weeks, which means you would have to loose 8lbs per week....Have you watched those weight loss shows like the Biggest Loser??? The women are working out constantly and eating the strictest diet, and at most I've seen them loose about 4 lbs per week. I would start a strict diet/excercise plan, hope for about a 15-20 lb weight loss at absolute best, and then run (don't walk) to the mall and buy a super duper minimizer to wear under your clothes (that and an all black oufit.) Should work wonders. Good Luck!!!
