Hi ya, i am looking for some advise 'being run down when pregnant' i developed cold sores I neva get them and?

now it hurts down there, me and my partner had sex and i was in terrible pain like stinging and it burnt while i wee'd but only for an hour after, still sore down there. Could i have coldsores down there, i mentioned this to my midwife at my 11 week check last week and she said i mite not be able to have a natural birth because of it. Anyone else been in this position??Hi ya, i am looking for some advise 'being run down when pregnant' i developed cold sores I neva get them and?
Hiya Hon

If you have cold sores down below, the term is genitall herpes, they are part of the same group as cold soress. Genital Herpes is an STI, which can be caught say if you had cold sores on your lips and gave your boyfriend oral and then slept with him. Just an example there.

Now the best thing to do is to go to your doctors, they will book it in as urgent if you tell them you are also pregnant.

They can then do a swab to find out, it not then go to your local gum clinic or walkingn centre. They can tell you all you need to know but please don't worry as you don't know this is defiantly it.

So just go to the doctors and find out for sure as don't want to scare you with any more info just incase its nothing ok. Good Luck XxXxHi ya, i am looking for some advise 'being run down when pregnant' i developed cold sores I neva get them and?
If you have noticed sores on your genitals, then sorry, you have herpes.

But if you just think you have sores, then most likely it's a UTI or yeast infection.
if it burns whilst you wee then may be you should see a doctor and see if you have a uti, i am sure that it is treatable.. you should be able to have a natural birth..

talk to your doc and see what they say

good luck

Sounds like urinary tract infection to me. Also I was told that during pregnancy your cervix and vagina are sensitive at times and can make sex uncomfortable.
