When I was a child my hair was blonde as I turned older my hair turned black, I want to lighten my hair just a little bit, does anyone have any advise on a product that I can purchase on my local Walgreen鈥檚 that I can apply myself.
I do not want a product that will damage my hair or turn it red, I do not want to go to a hair stylist I want to do it myself so it would be more economical, please recommend a product that is reasonable and safe, I do not want to loose hair by doing this.
I am a male and does not have any experience in this area this would be my first time trying to change my hair color, my natural color is black/dark brown.
also can this product be used long term without any side effects, sorry I have little knowledge in this area.Male Needs advise on changing my hair color-?
thers lots of different haircoloring systems out there, some(not most but some) are desyned specaily for men. so go to ur drugstore or wallgreens or wallmart or anyplace like that and look though all the different coloring companys thoughout the aisle. by that i mean there are many different companys of the same thing so the box will be designed differently, just like if ur shopping for.....chips or something.
okay so once you find a company/brand thats made for men(itl say clearly on the front of the box) look though the shades they have. usually theres about 20 shades that each company provides and look at the side of the box!(not the top of the box!) on the side there will be 3 different versions of the color it can produce. the first sample/picture will be how the color looks on blonde/ lightbrown hair. the second will be how the color would look on brown/dark brown hair. the trird would show how the color wold look on drk brown/black hair. So, once you find a shade u like, and once u make sure u like the color that it shows on the third picture on the side buy it. after that just read the directions that come with the haircolor, its pretty basic and tells u everything u need to know.Male Needs advise on changing my hair color-?
Well since this is your first time trying this you could get a spray in lightener such as Sun-In (http://www.sun-in.com). It's a heat activated lightener that you just spray on and use the sun or a blow dryer to start the change. This product with lighten your hair gradually so its perfect if you don't know just how light you want it to go.
You could try a semi-permanent or temporary hair dye that comes in a box. However, since you say your hair is that dark it might not produce the results you want. Most times people with black hair who want to go lighter need to bleach it first then apply a dye in the colour of their choice. If you really wanted to do that i would strongly suggest you hit up a salon (i know you don't wanna spend the money, but you will spend even more trying to fix your mistakes, I've done it too many times ha ha).
Try the Sun-In first, it's cheap and generally works well.
Well you came to the right place lol. and to tell you the truth... it depends on your eye color... some women like blue eyes, blond hair.... i on the other hand think ';not alot of people can fit black hair.... if you pull it off... you pull it off.... if you don't....Sorry!';
