A friend needs advise on unlawful credit report check!?

A friend of mine has had several companies to run a credit check on him without verbal or written permission by the request of an ex-wife. He has in no way even talked to these companies. Can someone advise what to do in the State of Louisiana on privacy rights? I know the companies are the ultimate responsible party but is this not unlawful? Isn't his credit report (which is good) be affected by 4 inquiry's in the same day? Please advise. Thanks!A friend needs advise on unlawful credit report check!?
There is system that protect again identity theft, while this is not the case most of those services credit alert, meaning that you will be alerted every time your credit report is checked. However, they can freeze the credit report as part of their services, I have listed a resource just in case.A friend needs advise on unlawful credit report check!?
He needs to contact the creditor's and demand proof of his request.

If they are unable to provide it, demand they delete the inquiry.

If he can prove the ex-wife did it, then he needs to press charges against her with the local police department.

I would suggest adding a fraud alert on his credit reports.
