I need some advise on Flowerhorn disease, preferebly from a cichlid expert?

I need some help.. I have purchased a juvenile flowerhorn and have kept it in my new 200 litre tank, planted. For 2 days the fish was ok, and then it started rubbing itself in the gravel, increasing the frequency. I supposed it was fluke so gave the water some fluke treatment.

Since yesterday, the fish has stopped rubbing itself on the gravel, but has settled on the bottom of the tank, still upright, but with very less movement. It is still eating allright. I changed (increased) the water temperature to 29 degrees..no more medication until I really get some advise from specialists..I need some advise on Flowerhorn disease, preferebly from a cichlid expert?
Try posting your ? here. I'm sure there's some expert flowerhorn keepers there. Good luck!

I am glad you asked this question, I have been having similar probs and was gonna ask a very similar question. Thanks to the 2 who answered, you have helped me too!
I have kept flowerhorn for some years and find that they respond best to Waterlife Sterazin Which will treat for head body and gill flukes plus round and thread worms. Combine this with Waterlife Myxazin which is a broad spectrum bactericide. Make frequent water changes and you should be fine.
you need to do a 50% water change then take out any carbon you may have in your filters use (erythromycin) read the instructions on the packet ,after you have done what it says another water change about 30% then some clean fresh carbon back into the filters (dont use your old carbon) you should notice any white puffy marks around the eyes of the fish should clear up this can sometimes be mistaken for cloud eye hope this helps good luck .
